# Map Editor

An interactive director / map-video editor built on dash-leaflet2 + the dash-NLE-timeline
components. Stage drawings (line/area), captions and images as assets on a live map, organize
them in a layer tree, then Capture each scene (the map framing + its assets) into one timeline
clip. The Preview composites a DashNleScene that flies the camera between scenes. An AI Director
(Claude, gated on ANTHROPIC_API_KEY) drafts whole scenes from a brief via focused templates
(cinematic, weather, trip, emergency, history, news). Persistence to Cloudflare R2 + Postgres is
the next phase (see .claude/docs/scene-editor-port-plan.md).
